In 2019, Khavaj, a young mixed martial arts fighter, fled Chechnya when his brother discovered his homosexuality and vowed to kill him, amid the persecution of Kadyrov's regime. Overwhelmed by exile, he falls silent. The only link he maintains with Chechnya is the voice messages his mother sends him. The film tells the story of Khavaj's first months in Belgium, where, forced to live in complete anonymity, he will try to build a new identity.
